Travel insurance

All baggage and personal effects are the sole responsibility of the traveller. it is recommended that travellers purchase trip cancellation insurance as well as international medical, baggage loss and delay insurance. Neither the owner nor operator of the Zambezi Queen nor any of its crew members, employees or agents shall be responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings or for any injuries or medical ailments suffered on the trip.

Minimum age for children

The minimum age for children is 7 years old accompanied by adult over the age of 21 years.

Vaccinations

Please consult your physician but note that this is a malaria area and prophylactics are recommended. Guests travelling to/from South African and entering Zambia require Yellow Fever Vaccinations.

What should I pack

Dress is casual aboard the Zambezi Queen. We suggest you bring along the following:

Lightweight long pants and long sleeved tops
Tshirts and shorts
Comfortable walking shoes
Sunscreen, mosquito repellant and camera
Raincoat and hat

How much luggage should I bring

There is no limit on the amount of luggage but for your comfort we recommend luggage not exceeding that permissible on international airlines.

Cabins assigned in advance

At the time of reservation confirmation, you will be assigned either a suite or master suite.
Subject to availability special requests will be considered.

Maximum of 2 passengers per suite

Drinking water

All water on board is purified but we recommend drinking bottled water.

Smoking policy

Smoking is forbidden on all internal areas on the Zambezi Queen. Smoking is only permitted on the outside area of the entertainment deck.

Special dietary requirements

Wherever possible, special dietary requirements will be accommodated, but this should be finalized and agreed prior to confirmation of the booking.

Currency used

We accept either South African Rands, Namibian Dollars, Botswana Pula or US Dollars.
